Coronavirus Health Safety Tips

Coronavirus Facts

Know the facts about Coronavirus (COVID-19) and help stop the spread of rumors. The Coronavirus (COVID-19) has intensified in the United States over the past couple of weeks. You should know what to do to protect yourself and your family. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) is recommending that individuals follow some everyday health safety steps that people in the U.S. can take now in response to Coronavirus concerns.

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  •  Stay home when you are sick.
  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when coughing or sneezing and throw the tissue away after use. If a tissue is not available, cough or sneeze into your elbow, not your hands.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing; going to the bathroom; and before eating or preparing food.
  •  Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
