Dog Licenses

Requirements

All dogs kept within the City of Kingsburg are required to have a license and be microchipped when they are four months old. Dog licenses are issued at City Hall and are valid for a full fiscal year from July 1 to June 30.

You can email copies of rabies, proof of microchip and spay/neuter to apalsgaard@cityofkingsburg-ca.gov or bring them in to City Hall 1401 Draper Street, Kingsburg, CA 93631.

Fees

Upon presentation of a current rabies vaccination the fees for dog licenses are:

  • Spayed or Neutered - no Charge
  • Not spayed or neutered - $25
  • Senior discount for unaltered dogs - $15
  • Dogs trained to aid the physically handicapped will be issued a dog license at no charge.

Note: These fees become effective November 7, 2009.

Look for the yearly Dog license Clinic which is held every June in the Downtown Park.
