Abigail Palsgaard was born and raised in Tracy, California. She moved to the Fresno area to attend Fresno State, where she earned a B.A. in History. With over three years of experience as a legal secretary and office manager, and more than fifteen years of service in local government, Abigail brings a deep passion for democracy, customer service, and transparency to her work.

In January 2019, Abigail earned her Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks, followed by her Master Municipal Clerk (MMC) designation in July 2025. She further distinguished herself as a Paul Craig Athenian Fellow of the Athenian Leadership Society in August 2025.

Abigail is married to her husband, Brandon, and together they are proud parents of three wonderful children.
