The City of Kingsburg has adopted a Façade and Alley Improvement Program that is designed to encourage economic investment and revitalization to buildings all commercial zones in the city. The appearance of individual buildings, storefronts, signs, window displays, parking lots, and sidewalks establishes the visual character of the community and plays a major role in the success of the City.

The Program is designed to encourage physical improvements to a building or business facades visible from the public right-of-way. It is the intent of the Program to strengthen the economic vitality of the community by improving the exterior and interior physical appearances of buildings. The appearance of the community has a significant influence on its economic success. By improving the physical appearance, the community will have a much greater potential for attracting and retaining businesses.

• Riding e-bikes and motorized scooters on the sidewalks is strictly prohibited in Kingsburg's Central Business District. Please walk your wheels on sidewalks or operate in the bike lane. Pedestrians are not expecting a quickly moving bike/scooter when exiting a commercial building directly to a sidewalk. Riders are unable to see/anticipate someone exiting a commercial building. Motorized scooters are not allowed on sidewalks anywhere.
• Riders under the age of 18 are required to wear helmets when operating a Class 1 and Class 2 e-bike, and for all motorized scooters. All ages are required to wear helmets when operating a Class 3 e-bike.
• Do not park bikes/scooters except at locations authorized for bicycle parking (bike racks, etc.)
• A valid Driver's License is required to operate motorized scooters.
• Double passenger riding on motorized scooters is strictly prohibited.

On December 6, 2023, the final draft of the 2024-2029 City of Kingsburg Strategic Plan was presented to the City Council. This comprehensive plan enables the City to prioritize its efforts to achieve a shared vision, mission, and strategy that aligns with the community's priorities and needs for the next five years.
